This is so funny. The customer srevice is great. My father spoke the same way in spite of serving in the Coast Guard during WW11. Not many people could understand what was being said but I sure could.

Yes, this is awkward. Since I made this post I found a plugin that does this much easier. It's the Exclude Pages plugin...just a little checkbox to tell it to add or exclude from navigation. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/exclude-pages/

Thanks. This really is an awkward way of hiding pages from the navigation. In any other CMS there'd be a simple option in the backend. You'd think Wordpress would be able to do better.

When it comes to optimizare seo and seo services there are only a handful of companies who really know what they're doing. Only these know what content is all about, fixing site issues, URL canoniclization and rewrites and getting you a lot of links.

Hey James,

I think what you may be referring to is a PLUGIN designed to do just what you described. The plugin name is Referrer Detector.

This plugin displays a greeting message to visitors that come from different urls (known as referrers). For example, you may want to welcome Diggers with a message that reminds them to digg your story, or you may want to ask Del.icio.us users to bookmark your post, and so on.

Hey, first of all really great post!! Im looking for one widget in particular and would really appreciate any help in finding it. I have noticed on some WP blogs where above the first post a small bar pops up and recognises the site you came from, for example if you arrived at the blog from twitter it says something like "New here? Why not add xxx on twitter" with a link. Does anyone know of this??

What are the odds, I was just reading about one of these services yesterday and then I find your post about the same thing. Apparently there are now several websites that are offering these toilet locator features, quite strange but imagenitive at the same time. Even found a site about clogged toilet information, weird.

Wow, that's a pretty good list you've got there. Helped me a lot starting my new blog. However, do you recommend WP-SpamFree as the spam filter? I haven't tried it yet, but I came across a few others, and find it difficult to see which one is best. There is a new one, or well it's a new version of an old one, called SpamTask which I am currently testing. It works great as well. I think I'll create some blogs to test a few to see which one I like the most.
